As a Qualified Dispensing Optician with a petite profile and a high prescription, our founder, Saira Patel, found herself trapped in a cycle of aesthetic compromise. The existing landscape offered a bleak trade-off: surrender to uninspired frames that felt like a medical necessity, or chase avant-garde styles that simply weren't built for the technical demands of a high prescription.
Driven by a vision to harmonize these two worlds, Saira partnered with her husband to architect Monarkh.
